The normal beverages that we ordered are milo hot and coffee with milk. It is our preference to serve in the traditional cup and saucer plate. The milo at Loong Foong was acceptable, but to to my liking. I prefer my milo to be really thick and sweet. This version lack of both, it was just normal texture and not really sweet. The coffee with milk taste was thin too, slightly bitter and not too sweet. continue reading

This is one of the better pork noodles around, but by no means can it compete with what I consider the best. Which is the best to me? Read my other reviews to find out. When I'm pressed for a quick meal nearby, I would take a quick drive down to Uptown and order my yee mee. The owner recognizes me after my many visits and knows my order, so I'll never get to change my order as long as he recognizes me. At least he remembers to omit the liver, too.The soup is thick and salty - it's close enough to what you get with ramen, except at a much lower price. I always have it with an egg, if not two, to thicken the soup and give me that much needed protein boost in the morning. The pork is ample (for the price) and tender. The noodles are between crispy and soft; which is one of the reasons I like yee mee. Nevermind that it's not very healthy. The loads and loads of fried garlic on top makes everything so fragrant and extra salty (just a pinch too salty, but worth the flavours). You'll never catch me not finishing the soup with this. I love the neighbourhood feel of the place, and the very neighbourhood prices, too. continue reading

The dish is known as Golden Pumpkin where it consist of sea cucumber, scallops, fish bladder, calms and other good ingredient you would usually find in Chinese dishes. It uses the Pumpkin to bring out the colour and flavour and the "gold" inside was fresh. A must try as there weren't many dish that I'm aware off that uses Pumpkin as one of the main ingredient. continue reading

I did not like pork mee all these whiles, resenting the lack of pork meat or pork balls, disliking the innards taste, and the lack of satisfactory soup base. It was until I tried this pork mee that surprised me at how awesomely flavourful pork noodle could be. Love the fact that alot of fried onion was used in garnishing and complementing the smell, taste, and look of the noodle. Love the brothy soup after adding the egg, love the rather generous amount of pork balls and meat. Overall, it made my Monday morning complete and ready for work!Beware: It is a little salty for the healthier ones continue reading

I think many knows about Sunrise and Loong Foong is the top 2 selling nice duck. As so, we went there for a good try of the famous duck. At a normal day you could see a queue starting from around 5pm and tables getting filled. The Roast Duck was golden brown and had a super crispy skin. The duck is very flavourful where it is nice and juicy. The texture of the meat was perfect and easy to chew. Taste: 5/5Price: RM 24 (1/2 chicken) continue reading
